Tiphaine Phe-Neau Senior Data Scientist, Engineer, PhD in Computer Science. Let's have fun!

Hello World !

I am currently an Entrepreneur d’Intérêt Général @ Ministère de l’Intérieur for 10 months,
(part of the French Presidential Innovation Fellows from Etalab / Services du Premier Ministre).

I work as the Lead Data Scientist for the Prévisecours project
which aims at predicting future interventions for
Essonne’s fire departement.

Being an Entrepreneur d’Intérêt Général
is an amazing adventure and if you want to try it,
you can apply here for 2019.

I don’t really have time to maintain
this website up to date, you can find me here:

Before, I used to work at Dailymotion,
Check this article I wrote on language detection and user consumption! 😀

I am now heading into a new great adventure!
Wish me luck and awesome data!

In January 2014, I defended my Ph.D. in Computer Science entitled “Properties and Impact of Vicinity in Mobile Opportunistic Networks” in the Networks and Performance Analysis (NPA) team at the Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6) from UPMC Sorbonne Universités in Paris, France. You can find the manuscript here, a French summary is available upon request. I worked under the supervision of Marcelo Dias de Amorim and in collaboration with Vania Conan from Thales Communications & Security.

My research interests involved:

  • + Delay/Disruption-Tolerant Networking, Intermittently Connected Mobile Networking, Opportunistic Networks
  • + Intercontact Characterization in Mobile Networks
  • + Wireless and Pervasive Systems

I hold a M.Sc. in Networking obtained at UPMC Sorbonne Universités (2010) and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Université Paris Descartes (2008). I share my time between the LIP6 and the Laboratory of Information, Network and Communication Sciences (LINCS) which is a collaboration between INRIA, Institut Telecom, UPMC Sorbonne Universités and Alcatel-Lucent.
